Technical Infrastructure
Our technical infrastructure consists of so-called root servers provided by Hetzner. We take security very seriously.

All access to the data processing systems by Kicktipp employees can only take place via encrypted access (SSL), which requires additional authorisation via a smart card.

Kicktipp uses a firewall to block all access to the data processing systems that does not come from authorised ports. Only required ports and services are open.

The data centre employees do not have password access to the data processing systems.

The data processing systems are physically separate computer units (so-called root servers) in secure data centres of the hosting provider Hetzner.

All servers are running in Germany. All data is processed and stored solely in Germany. Therefore german regulation rules about data protection applies.
Our website is developed and runs with 100% free software with Linux at its base. Linux is famous for its extraordinary safety. Security patches are installed by us within hours on all productive systems.
