  • Technical Infrastructure

Our technical infrastructure consists of so-called root servers provided by Hetzner. We take security very seriously.

    • All access to the data processing systems by Kicktipp employees can only take place via encrypted access (SSL), which requires additional authorisation via a smart card.

    • Kicktipp uses a firewall to block all access to the data processing systems that does not come from authorised ports. Only required ports and services are open.

    • The data centre employees do not have password access to the data processing systems.

    • The data processing systems are physically separate computer units (so-called root servers) in secure data centres of the hosting provider Hetzner.

  • All servers are running in Germany. All data is processed and stored solely in Germany. Therefore german regulation rules about data protection applies.

  • Our website is developed and runs with 100% free software with Linux at its base. Linux is famous for its extraordinary safety. Security patches are installed by us within hours on all productive systems.
