Your e-mail address
When you register with Kicktipp as a new player in a prediction game or open a prediction game as an administrator, you will be asked for your e-mail address in the registration form.

The e-mail address can be used to establish a reference to a specific person. Email addresses are therefore personal data.
The use of your e-mail address is limited to the following purposes only:

Login ID: We use your e-mail address as a login ID. The e-mail address is ideal for this because it is a unique identifier and almost every Internet user has their own e-mail address.

Typing reminders: If you have activated the "typing reminder" function in your profile, a message will be sent to you if you forget to type. You can deactivate the typing reminder at any time and thus stop the sending of typing reminders.

Forgotten password: You can use the "Forgotten password" function to request your password by e-mail. A message will be sent to the e-mail address you have entered.

Messages: The administrator or other players can leave messages on the message board. If you have activated the corresponding option in the menu item "My profile/notifications", you will be informed of every new message by e-mail. The messages are sent unencrypted.

Important messages for the operation of the prediction game: As the administrator of a prediction game, you will receive additional messages that are relevant for the operation of the prediction game. These include, for example, messages about a necessary restart of a Bundesliga prediction game because the new season is about to start. Other messages, such as forwarding service requests from players, are also possible.
All messages only serve the purpose of the prediction game.

The following groups of people have access to your e-mail address:

Administrator: The administrator of your prediction game has access to your e-mail address. The administrator can view the email address of individual players in the member administration.

Kicktipp employees: Kicktipp employees have access to your email address for service enquiries and system administration. The sole purpose of viewing the e-mail address is to answer service enquiries. Read here: Why you can trust us.

There will be no transfer or sale to third parties

No advertising will be sent to your e-mail address.

When you register your e-mail address, the transmission is encrypted.
We store your e-mail address in our database until it is deleted. Your e-mail address is also stored in backup files using backup systems.
With regard to the possibility of your data being stolen by an unauthorised attack on our system, please read our information page on technical security.
Your data will be deleted from the current database as soon as you cancel your membership via the "Profile" menu item. At this point, the e-mail address is still contained in data backup files. The final deletion will take place 2 weeks after the end of your membership.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to use Kicktipp without entering an e-mail address. There is currently no better way to guarantee a Kicktipp-wide login.
